I did not try with my Kindle 3G Paperwhite because I rarely use it (only use it if I'm sitting outside in very bright light where the screen is really fabulous). I went to managemykindle on Amazon and all my devices are properly updated. no syncing in spite of the success message. I forced a reboot on both the iPhone and iPad and tried again. Yet the message displayed says something like all my devices are now synced. I did the sync operation several times, on both devices, yet both are at different locations in the book. This morning, back at the office, I find the iPad has not synced/updated to the position left on my iPhone. I tried several times and eventually just manually found my position many chapters further. I forced a Sync operation but the book was still not synced. I was surprised to find that it hadn't synced to the location left on with the iPad. Yesterday I had forgotten my iPad at the office so I picked up my iPhone with the intention of continuing to read where I'd left off (and placed the bookmark). And syncing across all my devices has always worked perfectly. A couple of days ago there was an update to the iOS app which I installed.Įvery time I stop reading a book, I place a bookmark.
I couldn't find anywhere else.īesides a 3G Paperwhite Kindle, I usually use my iPad Pro 10.5 to read Kindle books, or in a pinch, my iPhone 6S. I hope a Kindle iOS question is acceptable here.
